So who doesn't want to have the real picture? Who is spiking the drinks so interviewers softball propagandists? What is the motive? Maybe a professional journalist will ask?
it is a mystery why "post-modern" journalists do this. it was a major step in the development of modern professional journalism when journalists refused to run their own side's war propaganda (esp dishonest claims) as news. So why are they running their enemy's war propaganda as news?
It's a sad situation that this counts as push back; but, on a comparative basis, it does. While it's commonplace to condemn Israel's p.r., it's naive to think that even the best p.r. could overcome the mainstream media onslaught against Israel. Yes Israel always needs to improve its communications, and has done so in this war, but whether that p.r. gets the media boost necessary is up to the malign Western media outlets--that themselves are mounting their own media campaign against Israel, from the sea to the sea.
Granted, the pushback is very small and sadly the anchor ends up still giving him the opportunity to ride his hobby-horse of fanaticism with the leading question. Still it is probably the most pushback I have yet seen so still I’d like to say “Rah-Rah” to that anchor , I have no doubt that even that scintilla of pushback she gave is enough to p*ss of her employers

and if it were only doing damage to us, it wd be just be ugly, but it's damaging to the west - own-goal journalism.
